This little golden/liver, 10 lb, 2 yr old, Shih Tzu came out of the shelter absolutely petrified. He was passed by because he did not show well, but we saw beyond that fear. He bonded very quickly to his foster mom....and to anyone who would pay attention to him...but he was very wary of strangers and sudden moves. We believe this little angel was abused, neglected and never given much attention. Once he became familiar with love and attention, we started to gain his trust and he no longer responded with fear, but with love. He can be a little protective of his person when being held....but as soon as he knows you....he'll be asking to be picked up and loved. He is a little kissy boy who just wants to know that you are not going to hurt him. For reasons of his past, we do not believe he would be a good choice for kids, but he would be a wonderful companion to an individual or a couple who really want to help a waysome pup. He loves to give kisses, he loves to play with toys, seems to be potty trained (but no guarantees).....and he loves to play with other dogs. He could be an only dog IF you are around, as we want this little man to get as much love as his heart -- and your heart -- can hold. Do you have room in your heart? Our website is updated daily.
