Are the stars out tonight? Well, here?s your chance to find out with this amazing Nexstar 60 GT Computerized telescope from Celestron.
Rarely used and in great shape, the Nexstar 60 GT (Model # xxxx2) features a 60 mm (2.36 in) Aperture, a Focal Length of 700 mm (28 in), a Focal Ratio of 12 and three magnifications -- 35 x, 70 x and 175 x. The telescope comes with the StarPointer Finderscope and three Eyepiece lenses -- 20 mm (.79 in), 10 mm (.39 in) and 4 mm (.016 in). Other features include a Star Diagonal of 1.25, a Motorized Altazimuth mount, a pre-assembled aluminium tripod, and a triangular accessory trap that screws into the tripod.
The Nexstar 60 GT also has a Fully compturized (non-Flash) Hand Control. Plug it into the telescope and the control tells you the specific bright lights you are looking at in the sky. Wait a minute, is that Uranus? It comes with a plastic holder you can mount on the tripod to hold it in place and two computer discs -- the NexStar Observer List Version 2.0.2c for Windows that lets you create your own data on sightings and the Celestron Level One - The Sky Astronomy Software (Version 5). I have to admit I?ve never used the Hand Control or software so I don?t know how well it works. But don?t worry, the Celestron also comes with an Instruction Manual.
There are a few other screws, adhesive pads, and a battery pack (that has never been used) to run the Hand Control. I think that?s everything.
